Upon completion of this specialization, learners will have created a project charter, project team charter, data collection plan, process map, control plan, along with null and alternative hypotheses, problem statement, business case, goal statement, process and scope description, and timeline. All these will be created using the six sigma principles and tools they learned.

A "Yellow Belt" level of knowledge about Six Sigma is highly recommended. This can be acquired by successful completion of the Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certificate offered on Coursera by the USG.
Those having a strong business background and a firm understanding of basic business operations and principles will do better in this specialization.

Successful completion of this specialization (along with the purchase and study of the highly-recommended handbook) should better prepare the learner to sit for a professional certification in Six Sigma. However, successful professional certification is not guaranteed, as every learner is unique.
