About this Guided Project

Learn step-by-step

In a video that plays in a split-screen with your work area, your instructor will walk you through these steps:

  1. Use the toString() method to extract all of the elements in the array and place them into a string with the elements separated by commas.

  2. Use the push(), unshift(), and splice() methods to include a new element to the end of an array.

  3. Use the pop(), shift() and splice() methods to remove the elements from an array.

  4. Use the slice() method to copy elements from an existing array into a new array.

  5. Use the concat() method to create a new array by merging the contents of two existing arrays.

Recommended experience

Completion of Introduction to JavaScript Arrays or exposure to using arrays in JavaScript is recommended.
