The course was simple to follow but the videos didn't follow the order specified on the WordPress dashboard. They start off correct but then coming to the end of the course I don't recall any of the videos covering how to link the different pages and one of the last pages had a layout design that wasn't available to me.

My next criticism is aimed specifically at Coursera. I'm not a big fan of the guided course layout of having a virtual browser and the video stuck to one screen, I'd much prefer to have just the video and use my own browser tab to access the WordPress website and follow along. Also, it would be nice to have an autoplay option for videos and a distinct way to know if you've watched a video or not.

The course is very useful if you plan to use Wordpress as a platform. It explains many concepts very well. I had two problems with the course: namely the course is longer than is advertised (which is both good and bad if you have limited time). Second problem: when I returned to the remote desktop application where the course took place I was not able to log in again (the connection was not established). Also in a few places the course was hard to follow. Other than that it really is a wonderful course and I suggest it to anyone who plans to set up a website.

I really appreciated the hands-on aspect of this course. WordPress.com is a great environment to build simple websites and Stacey covered the basics capably. The only hesitation I have was with the amount of time used replacing every template image and typing replacement text she dictated, which could have been used to better enhance our understanding of the WordPress.com platform.

Most of the time spent on this course is overwriting the default Wordpress text with new text. This is a waste of time. I did learn how to use Wordpress but the instructor's audio should have been edited to eliminate false starts. There were too many cases where my Wordpress screen didn't match hers and I had to look up how to perform a function.

Expected a proper introduction to WordPress interface. It seemed the intructor was on a rush and she assumes we know it all and just shows the use of the tools. The text description used in the website should also be written somewhere so that students can copy and paste instead of spending 2-3 minutes in just typing the same thing repeatedly.
