Now that we have our two profiles created,
let's go back to the model workspace and let's make some adjustments to the shape.
I want to start by editing the original sketch.
Now I'm going to adjust this 50 millimeter dimension to be 60.
That'll make the side bolsters a little wider,
and it's going to adjust some of the cut-outs.
We also have some various other options that we can change,
but let's go ahead and navigate back to the CAM workspace.
And notice that we have to regenerate these toolpaths.
If we take a look at where the original toolpaths were,
you can see how the size of the body has changed.
I'm going to press, Control,
G on the keyboard to generate the toolpaths again.
And once they're done,
we can take a look and make sure that they've updated to the new shape.
So, now let's create another 2D cutting operation.
I want to talk a little bit about the selection process.
Initially, we selected all the internal contours.
If we select the top face,
we'll automatically grab the internal and external contours.
If you left-click on one of them,
it'll bring up the selection options.
Now these change based on your original selection.
You can see here, that we can change whether or not we want internal and external,
internal or external only.
We can also trash it, remove, or add.
If you select an edge and you select it again,
you have the available option to select or add loops,
as well as open contours.
If we select open,
and we select an additional edge,
we hit the plus sign,
we now are creating a toolpath just for this path of edges.
Now in these cases,
you'll have to make sure that you use an adequate lead-in and lead-out radius,
as well as sweep, so we can see what the toolpath looks like.
With those values, you can see that the tool does a nice arc in,
it cuts that section and arcs out.
If we simulate this,
we're looking at just cutting that one section of our geometry.
So in some instances,
you might want to simply select a face to grab all internal and external contours,
or just the internal or external ones individually,
or manually select them,
by changing the selection options by holding down the left mouse button.
