This is a very interesting and possibly even eye-opening course. I highly recommend this course to anyone who wants to use more rationality and solid science in everyday life.

Great course. Title a bit misleading, but was quite interesting to me nonetheless. There was a bit about scientific literacy but it was more about how to live ethically. Assignments were really hard in my opinion.

What a timely and important course! In comparison to ninety percent of the other courses we all take this is so much more important over the long term for ourselves, our shared planet, and the other species we inhabit the world with. My thanks to everyone who worked and helped on making this course possible. Dr Quincy

Very useful course for those with little or no background in science and/or scientific research methods. For the rest, the course does provide with a lot of interesting discussions and resources, but might not be that challenging. The interviews with the course's guests are definitely worth the time!
The authors are trying to sound familiar and easy going, which at times can seem annoying, particularly in the beginning, when they sound as if they are talking to unknowledgeable little children. If they would address this in the future sessions, I think many would appreciate it.
The material is interesting and definitely thought-provoking, but I had trouble in seeing what is the general direction (the vector, if you will) of this course.
The capstone project is also a bit too demanding, as it assumes one would create a video in which they would discuss a challenging topic. The assignment assumes one is able to produce a lecture-type of video, without taking into account that most students are not particularly good at such things (graphics, animations, video production etc.). While I do see the value of challenging students to do that, perhaps a paper alternative to this assignment will be possible in the following iterations of the course.
Finally, as a positive: really nice graphics and animations by the course's production team. Congratulations for that!

The course could be structured a little bit better and some topics should have been discussed in greater detail. But in general, I really enjoyed the course and found the two instructors very likable.

Very interesting course and most video's are fun to watch.
Only the video's with a lot of interviews or where they switch all the time between skype conversations I sometimes find a bit boring, or I think the duration is too long.

My feeling is that this MOOC is very inspiring in way that it brings out the fact and paradox that we previously were reluctant to say out , and that is we are not saving lives in an effective way and that's how we actually should behave if we are real egalitarians in ourselves. And it also provides us with simple tools to make analysis by ourselves.
Space for improvement could lie in that the links between videos and reading materials of a same module or block could be strong, at least sometimes they don't seem so hooked with each other to me or I sometimes got confused what these contents together show something different from other blocks.

The content of the course was really interesting and made me think about things I didn't think of before. However, I found the layout of this course really confusing. It would be better if there was no division per week, but just a list of mandatory things and a list of optional things.

Engaging instructors and very interesting content. This course is unique because you can apply what you learn in the real world.
