It gives a boost and motivates you to learn machine learning. Also some complicated topics are not explained in detail due to the time constraint. But this is definitely a kick start for your future of AI and machine learning

This is an excellent course explaining the material very clear. The programming-assignments are very helpful to deepen the knowledge.

I deduct one star only because the videos could be sometimes have a better technical quality.

Great course. Andrew Ng can be a bit verbose at times which has required me to run his videos at 1.25x speed, but he motivates his concepts well and teaches them at a level suitable for newcomers to the subject. The programming assignments were excellent; they enabled me to focus on just developing the algorithms and observing how they function. However I will say I did not particularly enjoy using MATLAB (as someone from a software engineering background). Quizzes after every topic were great and really helped to reinforce the matter and I loved having the slides to reference for later. Great job!

Excellent course. In the start of this course, I never thought I'd be able to do things I can do, after completing the course. But the only thing that kept me from giving this course a straight five stars is the lack of formal proofs. E.g back-propagation algorithm or PCA. I know this is somewhat advanced Calculus/Linear Algebra topics but it would have been a lot helpful if an optional material was at-least given.

I think that more questions of understanding the material are required, some times I got the feeling that I didn't fully understand part of the material, but passed successfully the exams/ exercises.

Excellent course. My only criticism was that there was perhaps a little too much hand-holding in the assignments. Still learned a ton! Thank you!

It is nice course to learning ML

this will definetly give you an idea on what machine learningn is. but you need to learn a lot more if you want to be good at it. but this is some good material to start with.

Excellent Course to get started with machine learning...... it may be even better if it is one of specialization course by same Instructor.

I really enjoyed the class, and I feel like I learned a lot! I'd have given it 5 stars, but there's there are parts of the homework asignments that aren't well organized, for example I didn't know about the unit tests in the discussion threads for a while, and there's more detailed descriptions of the programming sections but they're really hard to find. All in all, a really good experience though.

Great mix of low level technical details, exposure to a variety of topics, and high level strategies.

The programming exercises were too structured and the course was quite easy.

Good introduction to machine learning although the later exercises were quite easy. Once you get through the neural net back propagation section, there really isn't much of a challenge left. That said, you do get a good sense of how the various algorithms are implemented and can self-study from there.

The content is somewhat easy. Adding more in-depth analysis and concepts would be really helpful.

This course has been a great learning experience and I have learned a lot. One more suggestion I want to recommend is that there should have been more involved in the derivation of some of the techniques. Those videos can be optional for those who are more into the mathematical stuff.
