I'm terrible at math but this course explained the concepts to the point where I was able to get through the materials successfully. Practice will lead to technical proficiency.

I liked the first few videos, great explanation of the financial docs. Content got boring quickly after that?

This course introduces you to a lot of useful financial concepts but requires a lot of personal research and study time to understand them. I would say 30% of the time was spent on the course material, and 70% was doing my own research to actually understand the content and formulas. The video is very blurry, almost unacceptable to today's standards. This is important because there are several instances where the instructor has a worksheet on the screen that is illegible and useless. The other issue is the worksheets are unique to this course, I was unable to match it to anything online in order to read it, incredibly frustrating. The course would have been a completely different experience if you could actually read the worksheets and follow along. But the good side of that is it forces you to find and create your own worksheets and set up your own formulas which obviously is good experience. I would not recommend this course to colleagues.

The instructor's jewelry and mannerisms, constantly looking down at his paper, confusing visuals, and overall style completely distracted me from learning anything. I was interested in learning about public company financials, this course did not cover that.

The choices of the different answers in the assessments do not match the answers in your solutions.

I recently completed the course "Finance for Non-Financial Managers" on Coursera, and I must say it was an incredibly valuable learning experience. As a non-financial manager, I often found myself lacking the necessary knowledge and confidence to navigate financial concepts and make informed decisions. This course addressed those gaps in my understanding and provided me with the tools and insights to better comprehend and engage with financial matters.

The course content was well-structured and presented in a clear and concise manner. The instructors did an excellent job of breaking down complex financial concepts into easily digestible modules. The lessons were accompanied by real-life examples and case studies, which helped me apply the knowledge to practical scenarios. Additionally, the interactive quizzes and assignments provided an opportunity for self-assessment and reinforced my understanding of the material.

One aspect that stood out was the instructor's ability to make finance relatable and accessible to individuals without a finance background. They explained financial statements, budgeting, and forecasting in a way that was both engaging and easy to grasp. The course also covered key topics such as cash flow management, investment analysis, and financial decision-making, which are crucial for non-financial managers to comprehend and contribute effectively to their organizations.

The learning platform, Coursera, provided a user-friendly interface, allowing me to navigate the course material seamlessly. The flexibility to learn at my own pace was an added advantage, as I could easily fit the coursework into my busy schedule. Furthermore, the discussion forums provided an opportunity to interact with fellow learners, share insights, and gain a broader perspective on the subject matter.

Overall, I highly recommend the "Finance for Non-Financial Managers" course on Coursera to anyone seeking to enhance their financial literacy and decision-making skills. Whether you are a business owner, department head, or aspiring manager, this course equips you with the fundamental knowledge needed to understand and contribute to financial discussions within your organization. The course content, engaging instruction, and user-friendly platform make it a worthwhile investment of time and effort.

I am grateful for the valuable knowledge I gained from this course, and I look forward to applying it in my professional endeavors. Kudos to the instructors and the Coursera team for creating such a valuable learning experience!

The "Finance for Non-Financial Managers" course provided a good range of learning material and Prof Smith's delivery made the sessions interesting and lively. Some sections were much easier to follow than others, especially when calculations were shared on screen. However it was just as easy to replay and review the transcripts to fill in blanks for the more challenging sections.

As for the content it was really good and the professor made it very easy to understand but there were a couple of videos where he was working on his excel tables but it wasn't shown on the video so it was kind of difficult to know exactly what he was doing.

Really enjoyed the course and was a great refresher from when I took finance in college 14 years ago. I would have like to seen problems worked out more in week 8. I found that week to be a little more challenging.

The videos were informative and concise. The only issue I found was potential rounding errors with some of the numbers but this was usually non-consequential.
