Lectures are very informative, and the quiz questions truly test the way person reasons and determines solution to given operating conditions for junction contacts.

THE CONCEPTS WERE SIMPLE AND NO COMPLEX TERMINOLOGY IS USED, BUT PROBLEMS IN QUIZ FROM SEEK 3 & 4 ,WERE DIFFICULT TO SOLVE JUST FROM LISTENING TO THE LECTURES.

I have an issue with the structure of assignments in the semiconductor devices specialization. The problem lies in the non-sequential nature of the assignments: throughout a week, the lecture material progressively builds upon previous concepts, with each video requiring you to 100% understand its predecessor. At the end of the week's assignments, it is designed to evaluate understanding of the entire week's content. This approach feels impractical, given the cumulative nature of the information presented. A more effective method would be to introduce a brief task following each video, allowing for a more gradual and practical application of the newly learned material. I tried to adapt by watching a video, attempting the corresponding questions, then returning to the next segment of the lecture, but this method was forced and far from ideal. It would also be nice if the "suggested readings" also included YouTube channels that discuss the material. To supplement this course I have watched Jordan Edmunds' videos on YouTube. To be frank, it is *impossible* to learn this material without relying on outside sources. But, as far as providing structure, problem sets, and access to others, this course and the others offered by CU Boulder is unmatched.

The lectures were good as a gentle guide giving somewhat a higher level overview of the material. For me it was impossible to do homework assignments just from the material in the lectures, at the same time after finishing the homework assignments, I felt like I had a decent grasp of the material.

What could be improved:

- With the lack of any TAs/instructor on the forums, having clearer formulation of assignment problems would have been helpful.

- I wish the instructor spend a bit more time on the intricate and fundamental parts of the material, like the process of band bending and the various forms of current in a PN junction . I think having a more intuitive understanding of this at the beginning would have helped enormously in the assignments.

The course does force the learner to understand PN junctions and Metal-Semiconductor Conducts in order to pass. The lectures are also good on their own. However, the assignments are NOT fully covered by the information presented in lecture, so the course is NOT standalone. There should a be a warning mentioned at the beginning of the course that external sources are required for success.

The course is not self sufficient. It is difficult to solve quiz assignments 3 and 4 only on the basis of the video lectures.

There should not be problems that are not related to the videos. None of the problems of HW4 can be solved from the content of the lecture, and there are other problems that you have to look up for equations or explanations that are not in the lecture.
