About the Course

This is the fifth course in the Google Data Analytics Certificate. In this course, you’ll explore what it means to actually analyze your data. You’ll take what you’ve learned up to this point and apply it to make sense of the data you’ve collected. You’ll learn how to organize and format your data using spreadsheets and SQL to help you look at and think about your data in different ways. You’ll also find out how to perform complex calculations with your data to address business objectives. You’ll learn how to use formulas, functions, and SQL queries as you conduct your analysis. Current Google data analysts will continue to instruct and provide you with hands-on ways to accomplish common data analyst tasks with the best tools and resources. Learners who complete this certificate program will be equipped to apply for introductory-level jobs as data analysts. No previous experience is necessary. By the end of this course, learners will: - Learn how to organize data for analysis. - Understand the processes for formatting and adjusting data. - Explore how to aggregate data in spreadsheets and by using SQL. - Use formulas and functions in spreadsheets to make data calculations. - Learn how to complete calculations using SQL queries....

Very good and useful practice of SQL. The JOIN party is pretty hardcore so I definitely couldn't master it but got enough of an understanding where I could learn quickly with some on the job training.

An excellent course for learning analysis techniques using Spreadsheets and SQL. Recommended for all engineering and data science students as well as for those managing businesses and human resource.

This section needs to be rewritten. this was the most difficult of all of the sections. I had to search for youtube videos to help me understand a lot of the content learned. More time need to be spent explaining this section. It was very confusing at times and mad it so frustrating.

Only two stars for the content however there was no need for the instructor since she was just reading a script and was too fast for people who are begenningers in such field.

I have to take a seprate course for SQL to understand and learn SQL in a good way instead of this course.

Instructor was very knowledgeable, but went much too fast in the videos to keep up. I had to rewind and re watch nearly every video, and i think that I would have learned better if she slowed down to focus on each step.

Sometimes the instructor is talking about things as if we already know what she is talking about even if she (and the instructors before her) have never talked about it previously.

I did not like this course because some of the applications did not function properly and when I asked for help I was told to go to the forum that did absolutely nothing.

Poorly constructed course, very hard to follow - like said by many peers. I finished the entire certificate and I don't feel like I even got to the basics of SQL.

it was not explained well and the instructor is bad at explaining things. Explaining complex concepts in simple terms is a skill that she does not possess.

Course covers important information, but the assessment, pedagogy and instructional design is poor. Also, videos are too quiet (even on full volume).

-the course has so many problems like( in first week it was too tutorial and i didn't learn any new things and the same for week two with little more new information i learned compared to the first week but still a waste of time

and for the third week it was complete disaster where the trainer used very advanced code for someone who is just starting learning sql coding and didn't even explain the codes she just wrote them i got very frustrated from unprofessional teaching and for week 4 it wasn't so bad but yet not what i expected from google certificate course hence there are some missing materials missing like the database in

(Hands-On Activity: Create temporary tables) is completely wrong .overall i give this course 1 star and if i could i would give it negative stars it was just a waste of time.

The worst course so far. The material seemed not to be in a logical sequence: sometimes you were expecting a reading and you came up with a video and vice-versa. It seemed like some content was missing so another was inserted to fulfill the content, but there was no link between them. The instructor does not pass a great confidence on the subject: her queries were confused, the explanations were hard to follow (even when you go back and pause the videos)... The content does not seemed meant to the analyze phase and it seemed to me that I was stuck in the cleaning and validation process. In summary, I would not recommend that part of the course to anybody. Which is a pity because I was really excited about, once I thought I'd learn some new ways of analyzing and evaluating.

This course was a bomb compared to the others in the unit so far. Unlike the other lessons, this unit was not up to date with SQL, BigQuery, or the other resources used. It also had major transfer issues from Excel to Google Sheets. While it's important to know Sheets, a majority of companies use Excel. Not adapting to that made a lot of the projects much more difficult. It also had a tendency to assume that the students knew where things would be. In one lesson, the "BigQuery" search for city bikes in Austin is actually under the "Austin Crime Report." How would anyone know that? All of this plus the instructor being very difficult to listen to made it a lesson that I would have preferred to skip.

This course felt very disjointed, as if the curriculum/script writers hadn't seen any of the other material. Sometimes the presenter would type way too fast and sometimes she would be covering material we had already gone over as if we had never seen it before. Everything in this course seemed out of order. For example, in this course they were teaching us what an underscore was. Should hope we know that by now, but maybe that should have been taught earlier if they felt it was a necessary explanation. I just wanted this course to be over as fast as possible and did not feel like I really learned the material because I just wanted to know enough to pass and move on because I was so frustrated.

The class started off ok, but the final exam was full or errors. Overall, The queries were presented in a very disjointed manner and hard to follow. It was at the same time too basic then got really hard, then very basic. Please review the material for consistency. The final took me 12 times to pass, which is very strange as I have taken many many graduate courses (and had no issues with previous courses). I will have to supplement my learning with other materials. The teacher and content was worth viewing to gain an overview. However, the exam questions were what gave this a 1 star. I wasted about 5 hrs trying to take the final. It should have taken me 30 mins.
